Are you always on the lookout for good exercises do at home?? Even though I love weight training, there are days when I just want to do a simple workout to just move my body & get the blood flowing!
And this is where good home-based workout comes into picture! They not only help you stay on track because you don't have to plan your day around taking time out to go to the gym, you can simply take your mat out & get started.
Here are 5 Home Workout Tips to help you stay consistent & rock your workout —
Tip # 1 - PLAN AHEAD
You'll alwaysssss hear me talk about planning! I can't stress enough the benefits of planning ahead, whether it's your meals, your day or what workout you'd be doing!
A night before you head to bed, plan these for the following day —
What workout would you be doing? How many sets/reps?
What equipment do you need to smash your workout successfully?
Where will you workout?
What will you eat - before & after the workout!
Wingin' it can only get you so far! If you are serious about results, it's essential to start planning!
Tip #2 - DEFINED WORKOUT SPACE
Try & have a dedicated workout space at home. It can be a space in the room that you don't use, a corner in the lounge or even outdoors.. have a dedicated space that's free from interruptions so you can not only concentrate & form the muscle-mind connection but also help you get into the right headspace.
Tip #3 - WORKOUT WITH MUSIC/PODCAST/TV ON -
It sounds weird but if you want the illusion of workout going fast, distract yourself with music, podcast, or TV while you get the exercise in!
High beat music makes the workout more fun & enjoyable + lifts up your energy so you can feel happy & proud of smashin' it at the same time!
Tip #4 - USE WIRELESS HEADPHONES
Ever tried doing sit-ups or the mountain climber exercise with wired headphones? ugh!
Headphones with wires can definitely slow you down, especially if you are time bound & get in your way of having a successful workout! If you love to listen to something while working out, switch to Wireless headphones & I assure you, you'd LOVE them!
You can keep your phone on one side & do anything without getting disturbed!
Tip #5 - GET IT OVER WITH FIRST THING IN THE MORNING
Once you start with your daily routine, finding time to workout can be challenging. Instead of putting it for later, get up & get it over with first thing in the morning!
