Pink Christmas Mocktails: 4 Pretty Girl-Mas Sips, from the Platinum Sass Kitchen

If Christmas at your house runs pink, champagne and gold — welcome home, friend. This is our post.

Everybody else can have their red-and-green. Girl-Mas is blush. It is a martini glass with a pink sugar rim, a spritz with a cloud of cotton candy melting into the bubbles, a strawberry shake so creamy it counts as dessert, and a raspberry-rose sip the color of a good lipstick. Four drinks, four shades of pink, zero alcohol in any of them — and not one single guest holding a plain soda feeling like an afterthought.

That last part matters to me. A mocktail should never look like the apology drink. These look like the main event, because they are. Set them out on a gold tray with a few ornaments scattered around and watch what happens: the pink table is the one everybody photographs first.

All four pink Christmas mocktails styled together: pink sugar-rimmed martini, cotton-candy spritz, strawberry snowflake shake and deep pink raspberry glass, in pink champagne and gold styling

Pick your pink

  • Sugarplum Princess Dream Martini — the jewel-toned one. Deep plum-pink, sparkly, served up in a martini glass like she means business.
  • Candy Barbie Snowglobe Spritz — the bubbly one. Light pink, fizzy, with cotton candy dissolving over the top like snow.
  • Strawberry Fairy Christmas Shake — the dessert one. Pale, creamy, whipped-cream tall. A shake wearing a Christmas outfit.
  • Holly Dolly Winter Pink Punch — the bold one. Raspberry and rose in a single pretty glass — punch flavor, personal size.

The glassware that sells the whole fantasy: classic martini glasses for the Sugarplum, tall wine glasses for the spritz, a footed glass for the shake, and stemless wine glasses for the Holly Dolly. Pink drinks in the right glass are not extra. Pink drinks in the right glass are the assignment.

1. Sugarplum Princess Dream Martini

The grown-up glamour of the set — which is funny, because there is not a drop of alcohol in her. Plum juice gives you that deep, jewel-box pink that looks expensive in a martini glass, lemon keeps her bright instead of jammy, and a pinch of pink edible glitter turns the whole glass into a snow globe when you swirl it. The pink sugar rim is non-negotiable. It is the tiara.

Makes 1 mocktail

  1. Rim the glass first: run the lemon wedge around the rim of a chilled martini glass, then dip and roll the rim through the pink sanding sugar until it is evenly coated. Set the glass aside — a sugared rim hates being rushed.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the plum juice, lemon juice and simple syrup (and the alcohol-free gin here, if you are using it).
  3. Shake for about 15 seconds, until the shaker is frosty and the drink is properly cold.
  4. Strain into the rimmed martini glass. Top with the sparkling water and stir once, very gently.
  5. Sprinkle the pink edible glitter over the top and give the glass one slow swirl. Serve immediately, while she is still sparkling.

The optional layer, explained: the base recipe stands completely on its own — bright, fizzy, balanced. If you love that botanical, gin-style bite without the alcohol, the 1 oz of alcohol-free gin slips right in and makes her taste a touch drier and more grown-up. Your glass, your call. Nobody at the table needs to know which version anybody else is drinking, and that is exactly how I like it.

2. Candy Barbie Snowglobe Spritz

This is the one that gets the gasps. A pale-pink, bubbly spritz in a big wine glass, a tuft of pink cotton candy perched on top, and a mini candy cane hooked over the rim. As the cotton candy melts down into the bubbles it sweetens the drink and turns it a deeper pink right in front of your guests. It is a drink and a tiny floor show, and I respect a multitasker.

Makes 1 mocktail

  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the alcohol-free pink gin, the white cranberry juice and the raspberry syrup. Stir once to blend.
  3. Top with the soda water and stir once more, gently — keep those bubbles alive.
  4. Right before serving — and I mean right before — perch the tuft of pink cotton candy on top of the glass and hook the mini candy cane over the rim. Cotton candy dissolves on contact with moisture and humidity, so she goes on last and she goes straight to your guest.
  5. Let your guest push the cotton candy down into the drink and watch the snowglobe moment happen. That little melt is the whole party trick.

Glow-Up Tip: Cotton candy waits for no one. Keep the bag sealed until the second you serve, build every other part of the drink first, and garnish at the table if you really want the drama. A tuft added in the kitchen is a pink puddle by the time it reaches the couch.

3. Strawberry Fairy Christmas Shake

Every pink lineup needs a dessert, and this is hers: strawberry milk and strawberry ice cream blended with vanilla and coconut cream until she pours like silk, then crowned with whipped cream, pink sprinkles and a mini candy cane. Serve her in a footed glass — if you have a snowflake glass, this is her moment, but any pretty footed glass shows off that pale fairy pink beautifully.

Makes 1 shake (a generous dessert pour)

  1. Chill your footed glass in the freezer for 10 minutes if you think of it — a frosty glass keeps a shake thick and slow-melting.
  2. Add the strawberry milk, strawberry ice cream, vanilla syrup and coconut cream to a blender. Blend just until smooth and pourable, about 20 to 30 seconds. A shake blended to death turns thin; stop while she is still lush.
  3. Pour into the chilled footed glass.
  4. Top with a generous swirl of whipped cream, a snowfall of pink sprinkles, and the mini candy cane tucked in at an angle. Add the fresh strawberry on the rim if you are using one.
  5. Serve with a straw and a long spoon. She is a drink and a dessert, and she should be allowed to be both.

4. Holly Dolly Winter Pink Punch

Raspberry, rose and lime in the deepest pink of the day — floral without tasting like perfume, tart enough to keep you coming back. The garnish does the "holly" work with fresh raspberries and a mint leaf, and the pink ice cubes (raspberries frozen right inside them) keep her cold and get prettier as they melt.

One important note before the recipe, because names cause confusion: this Holly Dolly is a single-glass, punch-style sip — it is not a big-batch punch. She borrows the bold, fruity spirit of a punch bowl, but she is built one stemless glass at a time, just for you. If you need a drink that serves a whole party from one dispenser, that is my 6 Holiday Punches post — six big-batch, alcohol-free punches for a crowd. This girl is the solo version. Different job, same family.

And a safety note that matters more than looks: the inspiration photos for drinks like this one show real holly berries as a garnish — do not copy that part. Real holly berries are not edible. Our "holly" is just the name and the look, done safely with fresh raspberries and a mint leaf. All of the pretty, none of the problem.

Makes 1 single-glass punch-style sip

  • 3 oz raspberry juice (or raspberry lemonade), chilled
  • 1/2 oz rose syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice (about half a lime)
  • Pink ice cubes: freeze fresh raspberries in your ice cube trays with water (or a little raspberry juice for deeper color)
  • For the garnish: a few fresh raspberries and one fresh mint leaf — raspberries only, never real holly berries
  1. Make the pink ice ahead: drop one or two raspberries into each well of an ice cube tray, cover with water or raspberry juice, and freeze solid, at least 4 hours. A silicone ice cube tray pops them out clean and pretty.
  2. Fill a stemless wine glass with the pink ice cubes.
  3. Pour the raspberry juice, rose syrup and lime juice over the ice and stir well.
  4. Taste and adjust: another squeeze of lime if she leans sweet, a tiny extra splash of rose syrup if you want more floral. She should taste like raspberries first and a garden second.
  5. Garnish with the fresh raspberries and the mint leaf on top. Serve right away, cold and bold.

Set up a Girl-Mas sip station

You do not need all four drinks to throw a pink party — but if you are doing the full set, here is how to keep it effortless:

  1. Chill everything first. Every juice, syrup and soda goes into its glass already cold. Warm soda into cold juice gives you foam and flat drinks, in that order — and pink deserves better.
  2. Rims and ice ahead. Sugar the martini rims in the afternoon and freeze the Holly Dolly pink ice in the morning. Both wait patiently so you do not have to scramble.
  3. Blend the shake last. The Strawberry Fairy Shake is the only drink that cannot sit. Build the other three, greet your people, then blend the shakes when dessert energy hits the room.
  4. Garnish at the table. Cotton candy last, glitter last, sprinkles last. The finishing touches are the show, so let people see the show.

Make it a flight: pour half-size versions of all four in a row down the middle of the table and let everybody find their pink. The Sugarplum drinkers and the shake drinkers will identify themselves immediately, and both camps will be extremely sure they chose correctly. They did. That is the point of four drinks.
